EPIX’s Billy the Kid series stars talk playing iconic characters.The Big Conn interview with executive producers and whistleblowers.Overall it was a wonderful show, my cheeks hurt for hours afterwards from laughing so much and I know wholeheartedly that when they come back for another UK tour I will be getting tickets for a third time. I don’t want to go into too much detail in case I end up spoiling it for someone going to a later date. Once the guys came onstage for the main gig it was non stop laughs, there were stories and videos throughout and also quite a lot of audience participation, or at least more than last time, but I think that was down to it being a louder crowd than last time. Steve Byrne then had the arena do a sing along to The Killers ‘Mr Brightside’ to which the 4 Jokers came out and joined in before running backstage to finish getting ready. Now this is something that normally I’d get a great laugh from, and still did, since it was daft and awkward looking but I also had a 13 year old boy with me at his first comedy experience and I instantly went into mother hen mode and covered his eyes while absolutely crying laughing. I always but a T-shirt at everything I go to and this was no exception so I am now the proud owner of two IJ shirts, we grabbed some drinks and went to find our seats where it turned out that the support act, Steve Byrne, was already midway through his act which involved a women seated with her back to audience and had a line of men from the audience who all ended up giving her a lap dance. I finally clocked off at 5:30 and met up with Beth and my 13 year old cousin Alex for dinner at Mcdonalds before driving up to Newcastle. The first thing I noticed when we arrived was the increase in security and the ban on backpacks in the arena which was new as I haven’t been to an arena since the Ariana Grande concert bombing and although it took a little longer to get into the building it was reassuring to know they were taking a lot of extra measures to make sure it’s a safe experience. It’s a lot of fun and makes me giggle and the chemistry they have on screen is exactly the same on stage.

The guys give each other dares to complete and if they fail to do so they get a thumbs down, whoever has the most thumbs down at the end of the episode gets punished which can be anything from having their eyebrows shaved off to jumping out of a helicopter into a lake.

So for those who don’t know the Impractical Jokers is a TV show on Comedy Central (in the UK) which centres around the comedy group The Tenderloins which is made up of 4 best friends Sal Vulcano, Joe Gatto, Brian ‘Q’ Quinn and James ‘Murr’ Murray. I spent my whole day at work telling pretty much everybody that I was seeing the Impractical Jokers that night, not many people had heard of them but they knew I was excited and started asking me questions about them so they could understand why. So much so that when they announced that they would be coming back to the UK in October my friend Beth and I turned each other and instantly knew we would be getting tickets again, and after 10 months of months of waiting the day finally came that we would get to see them for the second time! Earlier this year I had the joy of getting to see my favourite comedians live on stage and they did not disappoint.
